Relatively Systemic Herbicide With Contact & Selective Action

Ioxynil is relatively systemic herbicide with contact & selective action for the control of certain broadleaf weeds in onions and garlic.Ioxynil is a member of Hydroxybenzonitrile group of herbicides. It has the inhibitors of photosynthesis at photosystem II mode of action.Ioxynil cannot be mixed with liquid fertilizers and 2,4 D herbicide & avoid using Ioxynil before the onion has 4 leaves because it may burn the plant. this herbicide is used at the beginning of weed growth (2 to 4 leaves of weed). at high temperature and drought stress, the effect of this herbicide is reduced & Soil moisture should be adequate when used.
