Spirodiclofen is an insecticide/acaricide belonging to the chemical class of ketoenols or tetronic acids, with contact action, long persistence and broad spectrum. Spirodiclofen is active by contact to mite eggs, all nymphal stages, and adult females (adult males are not effected). Spirodiclofen have a new mode of action and acts as an inhibitor of lipid biosynthesis.
Show no cross-resistance to any resistant mite field population and therefore is valuable tools for resistance management.Spirodiclofen only controls active eggs and does not affect winter eggs, so avoid spraying in the winter. The best time to use is before eggs hatchingSpirodiclofen is not harmless for ladybirds but is slightly harmful on beneficial mites.Only apply 1 treatment per season.
